And God made in six days the works of his hands; and he finished them on the seventh day, and he rested the seventh day, and sanctified it.
Consider, my children, what that signifies, he finished them in six days.
That is why God could say to Adam not to eat of the tree of Good and Evil, for in the day that you do, you shall surely die("muwth", physical death). The meaning of it is this; that in six thousand years the Lord God will bring all things to an end.For with him one day is a thousand years; as himself testifieth, saying, Behold this day shall be as a thousand years. In Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 1:9 it is written: Traditional Judaism understands that the first 6,000 years is known as the present age/world (Olam Hazeh).
These first 6,000 years are divided into three 2,000-year periods of time or ages.
We know that the "day of the Lord" is the Sabbath (Shabbat) and the Sabbath is a foreshadowing of the 1,000-year Messianic Age (Athid Lavo).
